Justin Rose make Olympic history on Thursday, making the first hole-in-one in Olympic golf competition in Rio de Janeiro.

The Brit made the ace on the 191-yard fourth hole on the Gil Hanse-designed Olympic golf course. The ball landed about 10 feet short of the cup, rolling in for a 1 on the scorecard.

This week marks golf’s return to the Olympics after a 112-year absence, dating back to the 1904 Olympics in St. Louis.

Marcus Fraser leads on Day 1 of the four-day, 72-hole event at 8 under par.
